How to create time & space for radical imagination.
Too often we are caught up in the day-to-day. We’re pushed to the max and don’t have time to stop and think. Yet we’re surrounded by challenges that demand we think bigger.
At the beginning of October I led a dialogue for the Communications Network’s 2021 Virtual Conference to talk about what gets in the way of us thinking bigger.
I put together a few documents that I’d like to share with you, some tools to help you take time and make space for big picture thinking and planning.
1. A template for you to jot down ideas and ways that you might :
– Connect with colleagues
– Get out of the day-to-day
– Be Inspired
– Develop new ideas
– And expand your view

2. A mind map with ideas for doing each of the above

3. A list of empowering questions for you to use with yourself, with a colleague or in a group.

You can download a pdf of all these documents here.
To think bigger, we need to make internal mindset shifts and build our creative capacities. And we need the time and space to be able to do that work.
In future posts, I’ll be sharing ideas on ways to get buy in from colleagues, set limits/boundaries around the work, pause effectively and ultimately nourish ourselves so we’re inspired and feeling resourced so that we can think and act bigger.
